Donna Karan Spring 2010 Ready-to-wear Collection

Donna Karan's Spring 2010 Ready-to-wear Collection is perfected femininity.  Warm colors (both subtle and vibrant), draping -- while being successfully curve hugging (a rarely seen triumph).  They're undeniably sexy and look like they'd be completely comfortable to wear, as well.

If I were to make a fashion must-have Christmas list "please gimme gimme", these designs would be right at the top.  A few more photos are below, all taken from In Style DK Spring 2010 Collection Gallery.

Lady GaGa, Sex, and Fashion

I can't help it.  I've fought it as long as she has been in the spotlight... but Lady GaGa represents everything that I love about fashion, femininity, and sexuality.  There.  That feels better.

Her latest music video "Bad Romance"  is below and she is totally rocking Alexander McQueen.  Need I say more?

Shoes with Zippers <3

I love them.  So does Michael Kors, apparently.  I was browsing DSW (Framingham, MA location) yesterday during my lunch break and my eyes settled upon these ultra dreamy suede heels (sexy, steep heel) with a zipper design across the top of the toe.  I melted.  While discounted, they were still out of my price range (and not the type of thing that I was looking for to begin with), but it caused my heart to flutter.

Pictured above is his "Emma" flat ($250 at Bloomingdale's), animal print + zipper + flat = YES!  I would adore wearing these for something casual, with jeans, as they would add a nice little flair to the outfit.

Out of curiosity (and in an attempt to locate an image of the shoe I saw in DSW), I searched the web for "Michael Kors Zipper Heel" and was welcomed to pages and pages of other sexy shoes sporting zippers.  Shoes that I normally wouldn't imagine would tickle my fancy.... such as the "Frannie" boots (pictured right, $595 at Neiman Marcus) or the "Berkley" sandal (pictured below, $98 at Nordstrom).

And these are just a handful of the shoes that I adore by Michael Kors.  And shoes (along with dresses, pencil skirts, corsets, and underwear) have always been a weakness of mine.

Shoes that I am drooling over today: Miu Miu Spring 2010

Let's be honest -- I drool over almost everything Miu Miu on a daily basis.  But her Spring 2010 collection -- a play on whimsy and femininity -- has really grabbed me.  So today, in the midst of apartment cleaning and grocery shopping, I stole a few minutes to do an internet search on Miu Miu's shoes for Spring 2010.  I have seen the dreamy pictures of the clothing, but hadn't really seen anything focusing on the shoes.

Platforms.  Heels.  Animal and floral prints.  It's everything that a playful, creative female could want.  Especially when still hoping to look sexy.

I have yet to locate anywhere that you may purchase these shoes (or look to purchase these shoes), but when I do come across such wonderful information (for those of you who can afford it), I shall post the information here.

In the meantime, if I may stray from shoe admiration, I will leave you with the below picture as an example of the clothing from her Spring/Summer 2010 collection.  Cats on the collar?  Yes, please!  Mew!

Spring 2010 Trend: Shredded

I have always been a fan of the "all cut up" look.  I like the peeping flesh, jagged edges, and fabric seemingly pieced together in any way other than the norm.  I was very pleased to spy via StylePule on Twitter that this is one of the hot trends from the Spring 2010 runway.

Pictured left is what is my favorite piece so far -- a dress designed by Victoria Beckham.  The dress overall is sexy-classy and svelte, but the crossing of fabric over the neckline adds an edgey flair to their entire outfit.  I won't lie -- I was somewhat surprised that my favorite outfit featured was by the former Posh Spice, but one likes what one likes.

The other two designers that seemed to speak most to me were Gucci and Michael Kors.  The Gucci dress that I was most drawn to has a futuristic feel to it -- pieced together, tight and form fitting, and shiny.

Michael Kors displayed a one piece that I'd love to get my hands on and wear to the beach -- or possibly pair with some fishnets for a playful night out at a club.

Websites that I'm Digging

Life has been a little hectic, so I haven't been able to update over the past week, but I wanted to take some time to link to some websites that I am particularly digging at the moment:

This website is incredible -- incredible sales, incredible giveaways.  You sign up and get emails just about every day notifying you of whatever amazing sale(s) are going on that day.  It is convenient and impressive.

Another OMGSALES! website.  You choose which stores, designers, and types of products that you want to get notices on.  Emails come daily with some fantastic deals!  I discovered, however, that the deals are only good for that day.

Celebrities can do it, men can do it with tuxedos, and now every day ladies can do it!  Rent designer dresses instead of paying thousands (or just never getting to experience wearing one) for a few days and look fabulous.

Like purses?  Indulge here!  There is also a forum with thousands of ladies discussing designer handbags, shoes, clothes, and life.

The name says it all.

Pecil Skirts, Pencil Skirts, Pencil Skirts!

Pencil skirts are a staple of my "look".  I fell in love with them in high school when I purchased my very first black pencil skirt from Express (which I still own and wear quite frequently) and have been holding on strong to them ever since.  Paired with my glasses, people tend to coin my style as the "sexy librarian" -- you know, that term that gets assigned to every bookish-looking female in skirts, blouses, and glasses.  However, I embrace it and very much admire the look on other women, as well.  I feel like it's sexy and classy, sophisticated, and a look that you can successfully bring into the office and comfortably rock socially, as well.

A few years ago, I stumbled across Zombie Kitten Originals on MySpace.  The designs are fun and pulp-tastic.  She fuses sexy, body hugging pencil skirts with zippers and/or images of bats, coffins, space ships, and black cats.  If you appreciate rockabilly styles at all, then you definitely need to check out these sexy skirts.

The best thing about these skirts is that they are designed and made by Zombie Kitten herself.  They're truly amazing and truly quality.  I personally want all of them!
